General description

Anti-Giα-1-Subunit, Internal (159-168), rabbit polyclonal, recognizes Giα-1 subunit. Does not cross-react with Giα-2, Giα-3, Goα, or Gsα subunits. It is validated for use in Western blotting.

Rabbit polyclonal antibody supplied as diluted serum. Recognizes G_iα-1 subunit.

Recognizes G_iα-1 subunit. Does not cross-react with G_iα-2, G_iα-3, G_oα, or G_sα subunits.

Immunogen

a synthetic peptide (LDRIAQPNYI) corresponding to amino acids 159-168 of mouse G_iα-1, conjugated to KLH

Physical form

Serum diluted in 140 mM NaCl, 100 mM potassium phosphate, pH 7.5.

Preparation Note

Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-70°C).

Other Notes

Does not cross-react with G_iα-2, G_iα-3, G_oα, or G_sα subunits. The specificity and cross-reactivity were confirmed with lysates from separate cultures of bacteria transfected with the genes for G_iα-1, G_iα-2, G_iα-3, G_oα and G_sα. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.
