Anti-Trypsin-3 Antibody

Trypsin-3 is also called Brain trypsinogen, Mesotrypsinogen, Serine protease 3, Serine protease 4, Trypsin III, and Trypsin IV and belongs to the peptidase S1 family. Trypsin-3 is a digestive protease that specifically degrades trypsin inhibitors and may be involved in the processing of defensins, including DEFA5, in the ileum. Trypsin-3 is expressed in pancreas, brain and in Paneth cells, at the base of small intestinal crypts.

~26 kDa observed. Four isoforms are known to exist due to alternative splicing.

Anti-Trypsin-3 Antibody is a highly specific rabbit polyclonal antibody, that targets Trypsin & has been tested in western blotting & IHC (Paraffin).

Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected Trypsin-3 in human pancreatic, cerebellum, and thalamus tissues.

Other homologies: Rat (82% sequence homology), Mouse (72% sequence homology).

Evaluated by Western Blotting in human pancreas tissue lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: 1 µg/mL of this antibody detected Trypsin-3 in 10 µg of human pancreas tissue lysate.
