Application
乳清酸（OA）是从头嘧啶生物合成的中间体，可用于研究乳清酸磷酸核糖基转移酶（OPRT）的特异性和动力学，其催化从 5′-磷酸-α-d-核糖 1′-二磷酸（PRPP）到乳清酸（OA）的可逆磷酸核糖转移，形成焦磷酸盐和乳清酸 5′-单磷酸（OMP）。乳清酸用作通过产氨棒杆菌（ATCC 6872）或酿酒酵母等微生物潜在的商业生物生产尿苷 5′-单磷酸（UMP）的原料。乳清酸可用于研究 AMPK/SREBP-1 依赖性细胞信号传导途径,以及研究诱导肝脏脂肪生成的转录调节机制。
