Abstract
For pharmaceutical companies, patient safety has always been the priority. That’s why pyrogen detection has become a mandatory Quality Control test for release of any parenteral drug. With the Monocyte Activation Test, the only in vitro test for the detection of the full range of pyrogens (including endotoxin and non-endotoxin pyrogens), it’s now time to move away from animal-based test for pyrogen detection.
