General description

(R)-(+)-6-Hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchroman-2-carboxylic acid, a vitamin E analog, is a mushroom tyrosinase inhibitor.

Application

(R)-(+)-6-Hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchroman-2-carboxylic acid may be used to incorporate antioxidant property while designing anti-stress agents based on γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA).
