Description

General description

Stearic acid is a saturated fatty acid found in high quantity in animal fat. It is also found in cottonseed oil, pumpkin seed oil, grape seed oil and also in pomegranate seeds. Stearic acid plays an important role as an emulsifier in the cosmetic industry.

Application

Effects of glycyrrhiza polysaccharides on growth performance, meat quality, serum parameters and growth/meat quality-related gene expression in broilers.: This study explored the impact of glycyrrhiza polysaccharides on broiler chickens, noting changes in serum levels of stearic acid, which could influence meat quality and overall health. (Li et al., 2024).
