ortho-Phosphoric acid can be used as a:

Reactant in the synthesis of polyurethane ionomer films through etherification with polyoxypropylene glycol in the presence of tertiary amines.
Catalyst in pinacolic rearrangement reactions when it is supported on silica.
Phosphorus source in the synthesis of diaryl phosphates.
