General description
Non-selective, cell-permeable, inhibitor of the cyclooxygenase activity of prostaglandin H synthase 1 and 2. An excellent scavenger of peroxynitrite. Glutathione peroxidase mimetic. Inhibits radiation-induced apoptosis in thymocytes by scavenging peroxides. A neuroprotective agent against acute focal ischemic injury.
