General description

Porcine cytokines play a vital role in understanding immune responses in pigs, which share physiological and genetic similarities with humans. As a model organism, pigs are increasingly used in biomedical research to study various diseases, vaccine development, and the effects of therapies, owing to their comparable immune system and organ sizes to those of humans. This makes them an invaluable resource for translational research aimed at improving human health outcomes. Additionally, research on porcine cytokines contributes significantly to veterinary medicine and animal health, helping to enhance disease management and treatment strategies in livestock populations.

Application

MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Simultaneously analyze up to 13 analytes in porcine serum, plasma, tissue/cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants.

Analytes included: GM-CSF, IFNγ, IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-1Ra, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8 (CXCL8), IL-10, IL-12, IL-18, TNF-α

Assay Characteristics: Refer to kit protocol for assay cross-reactivity, sensitivity, precision, and accuracy.

Features and Benefits

Comprehensive Biomarker Coverage: Includes 13 critical analytes - GM-CSF, IFNγ, IL-1α, IL-1ra, IL-1β, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-12, IL-18, and TNFα.

Maximize Your Research Investment: Save significant time and cost vs. individual ELISAs, completing comprehensive profiling in hours, not days.

Veterinary and Animal Health Applications: Track immune response in real-time, optimize vaccine efficacy with comprehensive cytokine profiling, and distinguish healthy from infected animals with precision.

Translational Biomedical Research Applications: Leverage pigs′ phsyiological similarity to humans.

Proven Reliability: Trusted by research institutions worldwide.
