General description
Sodium phosphate monobasic is an effective oral osmotic laxative at minimal concentration. It is used for colonic cleansing before endoscopic examination of colon.
Application
Sodium phosphate monobasic has been used:
- as an inorganic phosphate source in cell culture media.
- in preparation of phosphate buffered saline.
- in preparation of phosphate buffer in glucose assay.
