Application

N-Octanoyl-N-methylglucamine has been used in a study to assess disordered the N-terminus of PKA. It has also been used in a study to investigate the usefulness of sugar surfactants as solubilizing agents in parenteral formulations.
Non-ionic detergent used for the solubilization of proteins

Biochem/physiol Actions

Water soluble detergent with high solubilising power and non-denaturating properties. Readily removed by dialysis.; Does not interfere with the monitoring of proteins at 280 nm.
