General description

2,6-Dimethylaniline is a alpha2-adrenergic agonist metabolite of xylazine, which can find applications as a sedative agent in food producing animals. It is also used in industries as a synthetic intermediate in the production of several products like dyes, pesticides and synthetic resins.

Application

2,6-Dimethylaniline may be used as an analytical standard for the determination of the analyte in animal samples, human biological samples, milk samples and pharmaceutical preparations by chromatography and electroanalytical techniques.
