生化/生理作用

由胰岛β-细胞所产生的二链多肽激素。其分子量为~5800 Da。α链和β链是由两个链间二硫键所连接的。α链含有一个链间二硫键。胰岛素可调节细胞对葡萄糖、氨基酸和脂肪酸的摄取、利用和储存，并抑制糖原、蛋白质和脂肪的分解。

    Insulin is readily soluble in dilute acid and alkalies.  The solubility of insulin is tested in 0.01 M hydrochloric acid at a concentration of 20 mg/mL.

  4. How can I store the solutions of Insulin human, Product I2643, and how long?

    A stock solution can be stored frozen at -20°C in single-use aliquots. Freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided.  Alternatively, it can be stored for up to 12 months at 2-8°C if it is sterile filtered through a low protein binding membrane or if it contains a suitable bacteriostat, such as 0.1% thimerosal or sodium azide.

  5. How many units of insulin are present in my vial of Insulin human, Product I2643?

    The potency is listed by lot on the Certificate of Analysis, which can be accessed through our Advanced Search Options.Generally, product I2643 has a potency of 27.5 units/mg.
