General description
The Isopore™ membrane is composed of a polycarbonate film, with a smooth, glass-like surface. This enables a clearer sample observation in optical or electron microscopy. It is useful in the analysis of airborne contaminants. Also, the Isopore™ membrane has a precise pore diameter and a consistent pore size. It may find applications in epifluorescent microscopy and chemotaxis assays.
Application
Isopore™ Membrane Filter has been used:
- for the separation of respirable particles from sanded composites
- to filter particulate organic matter (POM) from seawater
- to concentrate the prokaryotic biomass from ocean water sample
- Chemotaxis
- Bioassays
- Cytology
- Air monitoring
- SEM analysis
- Sterility testing
- Microplastics analysis
- Microplastics analysis grade water
Features and Benefits
- Particle retention on the surface for easy counting and analysis.
- Isopore™ membranes display low background interference.
- Rapid drying and minimal sample analysis time.
- Translucent material.
- Also available in a brown variety.
